Travel to Philippines – What You Need To Know About Ferries

There is so much to see in the Philippines. A lot of that can be found easily on local transport. With a map and information on local transport, it is easy to go to different destinations with ease. We’ll start with transportation.

Travelers can choose to fly or take a bus. The bus is the popular choice for sightseeing and has a pretty good fare. Buses can be boarded at Metro Manila’s Manila City Hall Station or Subic Bay Metro Rail Station. Buses run every 10 to 20 minutes.

Travelers can take the jeepney as well but jeepneys are not as safe and reliable as buses. The jeepney costs around 1,000 PHP for half a kilometer or 2,500 PHP for a full kilometer. For a full kilometer, it costs 2,000 PHP. But they are the cheapest form of transport.

Travelers can take the “cabriolet” as well. The cabriolet has been around since the 60s. You can get it in all the biggest cities such as Manila, Cebu, Bacolod and Davao City. It is an old type of taxi which can run just 25 kilometers and it is easy to get in and out of the Philippines. If you are traveling with family, you can also take a “bridiobidi” or “bridie” instead. All of these types of taxis can be boarded at Metro Manila’s Manila City Hall Station or Subic Bay Metro Rail Station.

The “bidi bidi” or “bridie” costs 1,500 PHP for a half kilometer or 2,500 PHP for a full kilometer. It runs every 10 minutes.

Travelers can also take the “metro tuk-tuk” or “tuk-tuk” for a small fee. The tuk-tuk is also very easy to use. Just follow the directions that are displayed on the tuk-tuk’s windscreen and you are set. All of these types of transport can be boarded in Metro Manila’s Manila City Hall Station or Subic Bay Metro Rail Station. All passengers are transported within 15 to 30 minutes at the Manila City Hall Station. You can also take your bus as early as 5 a.m. in the morning. Even passengers can also catch the Metro Bus from their home at any time.

Another way to board is to rent a bus.

A Cargo bus is another option for cheap transportation to the Philippines. This type of bus is also easy to use and takes about 20 minutes to reach Manila. There are two types of this type of bus, the standard and the enhanced. The standard type is the normal one and it is easy to board one. It has an interior compartment that has three rows of seats. The third row is reserved for handicapped and other passengers.

An enhanced bus has a larger compartment that is open on the front. The third row is open on this bus and it is also handicapped and other passenger-friendly. The fare for this type of bus is 2,000 PHP for a normal one and 3,000 PHP for an enhanced one.

If you already have a reservation, you can also catch the enhanced bus. It is the same fare as the regular one. However, there are cases where you may want to exchange your regular bus ticket to the enhanced one. You can do it by contacting the company on their official website and you can do it within 14 days. In that case, you will have to pay an exchange fee of 150 PHP.

The next option for cheap transportation to the Philippines is by ferry. You need to take a regular ferry or a large ferry and it will take you to Manila from anywhere in Luzon or from Mindoro. There are regular departures from Caticlan or Tacloban or Quiapo. It will take about 45 minutes to reach Manila and it will take about 2 hours by ferry. The fares from the Philippines to Manila are 6,000 PHP for regular and 12,000 PHP for the large ferry. The fares from the Philippines to Mindoro are around the same and they are about 50 minutes long and there is a fare of 80 PHP for the regular one and 105 PHP for the large one.

You can also catch ferries from Quiapo and Catbalogan. It will take you to Manila from there within 30 minutes. The fares are 200 PHP for regular and 600 PHP for large.

You can also take ferries from Bacolod or Cabo Del Don. They are around 30 minutes long and they have the same fares as the ones from Bacolod.

To make your travels in the Philippines easier, you can take the airport shuttle. There are two kinds of the airport shuttle. One has only one van which will go to the airports in Manila and Clark. It will take about 35 minutes to Clark and 50 minutes to Manila.

The other airport shuttle has two vans. One will go to the Manila airport and the other one to Clark. It will take 30 minutes to Manila and 45 minutes to Clark.
